We partnered with PocketLab to bring live and virtual sessions on the science behind crashes. Students used a pocket-sized car with sensor technology to create their own crash experiments, while mastering the Newton’s Laws of motion, understanding energy transformations, and engineering crash cushions to reduce force. They measured velocity, g-force, direction, position, and rotation to analyze their data instantly and track effects of their cushion design in crash tests to discover how engineering is applied in real-world scenarios to improve vehicle and occupant safety. It was some serious science with loads of fun!
